This is 100% Creapure® creatine monohydrate and nothing else: no fillers, no flavourings, no sweeteners, no preservatives. Creapure® is a protected trademark of AlzChem Trostberg GmbH — only creatine monohydrate manufactured at AlzChem's facility in Bavaria, Germany, to their purity specification can carry the name. Nutrend, the Czech sports nutrition manufacturer founded in 1993, packs it into a 500g tub at a 3.5g serving size. The powder contains no substances of animal origin, making it suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Authorised EU health claim — creatine

Creatine increases physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high-intensity exercise. The beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 3g of creatine — one 3.5g serving of this product provides 3g of pure creatine.

This is an authorised claim under EU Regulation 1924/2006 (Regulation (EU) 432/2012), relating to creatine. No other health claim is made for this product.

Which Creapure® product is right for you?

This Nutrend tub uses the same AlzChem Creapure® raw material as our Reflex Nutrition Creapure® Creatine Powder 500g — the difference is the brand, the serving size (3.5g here vs 5g for Reflex, so 142 servings vs 100), and the price per tub on the day. Both are vegan. If you prefer capsules with no mixing, our Reflex Creapure® Creatine Capsules deliver the same raw material in capsule form — note the capsule shell is bovine gelatine, so the capsules are not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.

How to Take

Mix one 3.5g serving (about half a measuring scoop) into 150–250ml of water or another drink, once daily. Use a maximum of once per day. The manufacturer recommends taking it with carbohydrates. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Suitable for adults. Once opened, store below 25°C and use within 6 months.

This product is a food supplement and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease or health condition. The only health claim made on this page is the authorised EU claim for creatine stated above. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Nutrend Creatine Monohydrate Creapure®?

It is a single-ingredient food supplement: 500g of unflavoured Creapure® creatine monohydrate powder made by Nutrend, a Czech sports nutrition manufacturer. Each 3.5g serving provides 3g of pure creatine, and the tub holds 142 servings. It contains nothing except Creapure® creatine monohydrate.

How much creatine is in each serving?

Each 3.5g serving contains 3.5g of creatine monohydrate, of which 3g is pure creatine. Creatine monohydrate is roughly 88% creatine by weight — the remainder is the bound water molecule that gives the monohydrate form its stability. The 3g of pure creatine per serving meets the 3g daily intake condition attached to the authorised EU creatine claim.

What is Creapure® and how is it different from regular creatine monohydrate?

Creapure® is a registered trademark of AlzChem Trostberg GmbH. It refers specifically to creatine monohydrate manufactured at AlzChem's facility in Bavaria, Germany, using their proprietary synthesis process. Every batch is analytically tested for purity, including for the by-products dicyandiamide (DCD) and dihydrotriazine (DHT), which can appear in creatine from less controlled manufacturing. Chemically it is the same molecule as any creatine monohydrate; the difference is the documented German manufacturing and batch testing.

Does creatine have an authorised health claim in the EU?

Yes, two. Under Regulation (EU) 432/2012, creatine increases physical performance in successive bursts of short-term, high-intensity exercise, with the effect obtained at 3g of creatine daily. A second authorised claim (Regulation (EU) 2017/672) applies only to products targeted at adults over 55 engaged in regular resistance training, at 3g daily combined with resistance training at least three times per week. These are the only two authorised claims for creatine; a proposed third claim was formally refused by the European Commission in May 2026. Our creatine guide explains the full regulatory picture.

Yes. Creatine monohydrate is a legal food supplement in Ireland, regulated by the Food Safety Authority of Ireland (FSAI). It is not a novel food, not a medicine, and not a controlled substance. The International Olympic Committee classes creatine as a food, and it is permitted in tested sport.

Is it suitable for vegetarians and vegans?

Yes. The powder is synthesised creatine monohydrate containing no substances of animal origin, and there is no capsule shell because it is a loose powder. The manufacturer states it is suitable for vegans.

How do I take it, and do I need a loading phase?

The label directions are one 3.5g serving mixed into 150–250ml of liquid, once daily, with a maximum of one serving per day. The manufacturer suggests taking it with carbohydrates. The label does not direct a loading phase, and the authorised EU claim condition is met at the standard 3g daily intake, so simply take one serving daily and do not exceed the recommended dose.

Does it mix easily and what does it taste like?

It is unflavoured, so it has a neutral taste and can be added to water, juice, a protein shake or a gainer without changing the flavour. The manufacturer's stated particle size for this Creapure® powder is under 500 microns. Stir or shake into 150–250ml of liquid; lukewarm water dissolves creatine more readily than cold.

How should I store it?

Keep it away from heat, freezing temperatures and humidity. Once opened, store below 25°C and use within 6 months. The tub contains a desiccant sachet to control moisture — the sachet is not for consumption. Keep out of reach of children.

How fast is delivery, and will I pay customs charges?

We dispatch next-day from Dublin via DPD, with free delivery on orders over €75. Because your order ships from within Ireland, there are no customs charges or import fees — unlike orders from UK or non-EU websites.
