Is a 3000mg lion's mane stronger than a 600mg one?

Not necessarily. A 3000mg figure is often a dried mushroom equivalent, not the extract weight. Wiseshrooms 3000mg contains 250 mg of 12:1 extract per three-capsule serving. Osavi 600mg contains 600 mg of 30:1 extract in one capsule, equivalent to 18,000 mg of dried mushroom. Compare extract weight, ratio and standardisation rather than the headline number.

What is the difference between fruiting body and mycelium lion's mane?

The fruiting body is the visible mushroom. Mycelium is the thread-like network the fungus grows from, and supplement mycelium is often grown on grain that remains in the powder. They are different raw materials with different EU novel food status. Every lion's mane product we stock uses the fruiting body.

What is the difference between lion's mane powder and extract?

Powder is the whole dried mushroom at natural strength, with no guaranteed content of any compound. An extract is concentrated from more mushroom, shown as a ratio such as 12:1 or 30:1, and usually states a polysaccharide or beta-glucan figure. Swanson is a powder; Osavi, KIKI Health and Wiseshrooms are extracts.

Which lion's mane supplements are suitable for vegans?

Osavi, KIKI Health and Wiseshrooms use plant-based capsule shells and contain no animal-derived ingredients. Swanson Full Spectrum Lion's Mane uses a gelatine capsule, so it is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans.

Which lion's mane supplements are organic?

How do I take lion's mane capsules?
