Life Extension BioActive Complete B-Complex - 60 Vegetarian Capsules

Life Extension BioActive Complete B-Complex - 60 Vegetarian Capsules
Life Extension BioActive Complete B-Complex is a high-strength vitamin B complex delivering all eight B vitamins plus inositol and PABA in two vegetarian capsules — with the B vitamins supplied in their bioactive (coenzyme) forms, including methylcobalamin and calcium-L-methylfolate. 60 vegetarian capsules; 30 servings per bottle.
This is the EU formulation (item 01945EU), built to the maximum nutrient levels permitted in the EU. It pairs the activated forms of B12 (methylcobalamin) and folate (calcium-L-methylfolate, the 5-MTHF form) with pyridoxal 5'-phosphate and riboflavin 5'-phosphate, alongside thiamine, niacin, biotin and pantothenic acid. Inositol and PABA are included as additional ingredients; neither carries an EU Nutrient Reference Value or an authorised health claim, so both are listed here as facts only.

Frequently asked questions
What is BioActive Complete B-Complex?
It is a full-spectrum vitamin B complex food supplement from Life Extension, providing all eight B vitamins (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, biotin, folate and B12) plus inositol and PABA in two vegetarian capsules. The B vitamins are supplied in their bioactive (coenzyme) forms, including methylcobalamin and calcium-L-methylfolate. This is the EU formulation, item 01945EU.
What B vitamins and doses does it contain?
Per two capsules: vitamin B1 100mg, B2 75mg, B3 100mg, B5 500mg, B6 16mg, biotin 1000µg, folate 400µg and B12 300µg, plus inositol 100mg and PABA 50mg. Every named B vitamin is well above the 15% NRV "source" threshold; inositol and PABA have no EU Reference Value.
Are the B vitamins in active (bioactive) forms?
Yes. B12 is supplied as methylcobalamin, folate as calcium-L-methylfolate (the 5-MTHF form), and part of the B6 and B2 is supplied as pyridoxal 5'-phosphate and riboflavin 5'-phosphate respectively. These are the coenzyme forms of the vitamins.
What are the authorised benefits of the B vitamins?
Under EU law, several authorised claims apply to the named vitamins. Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6 and B12 contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism; B2, B3, B6, B12 and folate contribute to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue; B6 and folate contribute to normal psychological function; B12 contributes to normal red blood cell formation; and biotin contributes to the maintenance of normal hair and skin. These claims relate to the nutrients, not to inositol or PABA.
Can it cause bright yellow urine?
Yes, and it is harmless. Riboflavin (vitamin B2) is naturally bright yellow, and the body excretes what it does not use, which can turn urine a vivid yellow for a few hours after taking it. It is not a cause for concern.
Can I take it at night?
It can be taken at any time of day with food. Some people prefer to take B vitamins earlier in the day with a meal. There is no requirement to take it at a specific time; consistency matters more than timing.
Is it suitable for vegetarians?
Yes. The capsule shell is plant-based hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC) and the product is labelled vegetarian and non-GMO. If you require certified vegan status, check the current label, as one anti-caking agent is listed only as "fatty acids" without a stated source.
How many capsules do I take?
Two capsules daily with food. Each 60-capsule bottle therefore provides 30 servings, roughly one month's supply at the standard serving.
Are there any precautions?
The product contains nicotinic acid (a form of niacin), which can cause temporary flushing, itching, rash or mild gastric upset in some people. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medication, consult your doctor or pharmacist before use. For adults 18+. Keep out of the reach of children.
How is it delivered in Ireland?
Orders are dispatched from our Dublin facility by next-day DPD within Ireland. Because it ships from within Ireland, there are no customs charges or import delays on Irish orders.
